Primavera Systems – 25th Annual Conference
In 2008 the founder of What’s Critical, Matthew Boot, led a team from Bovis Lend Lease that was awarded the Global Industry Award for it’s use of Primavera P6.
Primavera Systems presented the award at their 25th Annual Conference in Las Vegas. This was their last conference before being purchased by Oracle.
Bovis Lend Lease was recognised for the establishment of the industry’s first global construction scheduling database. The system utilised Primavera P6, housting it’s primary database in Atlanta. Project teams from the UK, Asia, the USA and Australia access this database to generate their project schedules. The system took four months to develop and was rolled out across the global operations in eight months.
At the conclusion of the awards ceremony Joel Koppelman, Primavera CEO, stated:
“We are thrilled to award such a great number of Primavera Excellence Awards to organizations that have achieved outstanding results in project, program, portfolio and resource management. We congratulate all winners for their vision and innovation, and believe that we will only continue to see more impressive results from our customers.”
Primavera P6 – Project Management Tool
One of the key project management tools used by Lendlease is Primavera P6. It is used for constrution scheduling, critical path analysis and the production of gantt charts. Project teams follow robust project planning procedures to assist them develop project plans and detailed project schedules.
Since its implementation the system has stood the test of time. In 2013 the solution is utilised by over 1,000 users across all of Lendlease’s construction operations globally.
